Hilton Matus founded Computer Centre Manchester Limited and launched the first generation of ACE, a DOS-based curtain estimating system created specifically for the soft furnishings industry.

Our Story
For over 40 years, CCM Ace Ltd has worked alongside soft furnishing businesses, developing practical software, accurate estimating tools, and trusted personal support.
1983
01 1980s–1990s
02 ACE Develops
ACE continued to evolve, with new versions designed for retailers, workrooms, fabric stores, contractors, and larger organisations. The software helped businesses produce accurate estimates, reduce administration, and work more efficiently.
1998
03 ACE for Windows
AFW launched as the second generation of ACE, moving the system onto the Windows platform. Over time, additional tools were introduced for stock, purchasing, scheduling, production, customer communication, and job management.
2002
04 CCM Ace Ltd
The company officially changed its name to CCM Ace Limited, reflecting the growing recognition of the ACE software within the soft furnishings industry.
2000s
05 Expanding the Range
Different versions of AFW were developed to suit businesses of varying sizes, from quick in-store estimating through to complete estimating and job management systems. ACE also continued to grow its customer base across the UK and internationally.
2011–2013
06 Mobile Estimating
A range of Apple apps was launched, including the ACE Fabric Calculator and ACE Quote apps, giving users access to useful estimating tools while away from the office.
2012
07 Strengthening the Team
Sarah Grant joined CCM Ace after several years of working with Hilton on internal systems. She went on to lead operations, account management, and the design and testing of key projects.
2015
08 Technical Leadership
Mark Pearson joined the company after working alongside CCM Ace for many years, bringing extensive experience in system analysis, software design, and soft furnishings workflows.
2018
09 ACE Online Launches
ACE Online launched as the third generation of ACE. The new cloud-based platform allowed customers to access their estimating and job information from almost anywhere, while continuing to benefit from software built specifically for curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings. Michael McCorry also joined the team, supporting the continued development and growth of the platform.

10 A New Chapter
Sarah Grant and Mark Pearson became the principal shareholders of CCM Ace Ltd as Hilton Matus retired. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for the business, building on Hilton’s original vision and more than 40 years of industry experience.

11 Moving to Stockport
CCM Ace moved from Whitefield to new offices in Stockport, providing a fresh base for the team and the continued development of ACE Online.

12 Continuing to Evolve
From our base in Stockport, we continue to develop ACE Online and specialist software solutions for soft furnishing professionals. We combine decades of industry knowledge with modern cloud technology and the same personal support our customers have relied on since 1983.
